9 Months Old - What's New

Well Belle has now been out in the world as long as she was in the womb. What's new with her? Well she can stand very well while holding on to something. She can pull herself up to a stand from a sitting position (again while holding on to something). She has a nice sized menu of foods she's eating now the list in order of introduction is: rice cereal, carrots, green beans, pees, oatmeal, sweat potatoes, squash, apple sauce, bananas, peaches, potatoes, turkey, chicken, prunes, banana blueberry, and now is starting zwieback toast and chunks of rip peaches.

Belle also has decided that she's done breastfeeding. She weaned herself! I spoke to her doctor and a lactation nurse about it and they both said that some babies (primarily girls) will sometimes do that and the best thing to do is just let nature take it's course. The AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics)  recommends that babies are breastfeed for their first year, but the first 6 months is the most crucial. Anything after that is bonus. So Belle's gotten 9 months of it so that's good. She also wants to drink out of sippycups and straws more then a bottle. This little girl just wants to be a ground up!

She also is starting to talk baby-talk! :)
